Possible to P2V a slaved drive that used to hold an operating system?

My opinion on this is that this is more of a case of recovering the disc contents to an operational state first even if it means temporarily, and then considering a p2v. Wheather it's an offline or online process you'd still need an agent in there to complete the p2v.
With a bit of luck http://www.mondorescue.org/ might be able to help. It also does a p2v as well.

Hmm, so far in my research, offline P2V hasn't needed an agent.
