Default How to resolve hostname from an IPv6 address

I would have thought this would be an option under the nslookup or ping commands, but if it's there, i can't figure it out.

Say you have an IP address in IPv6 format and want to query DNS to find out what the host name is. What command would I use?

Assuming there is a PTR record nslookup should return the hostname. Depends on the address type as well, with some IPv6 address types you can extract the IPv4 address from it.
